You are invited to join us in celebrating this holiday season in the Hawaiian style. At this time of year, two Hawaiian Holidays are
celebrated Mele Kalikimaka and Hau'oli Makahiki Hou. Mele Kalikimaka
has been typlically translated to mean Merry Christmas and Hai'oli
Makahiki Hou translates to Happy New Year. These two holidays fall
during the time when Hawaiians honor the earth for giving them plenty
to eat. This period of resting and feasting is called Makahiki. It is a
period of no wars or conflicts.
