Business Network Chicago and the Tektite Group have joined together to create a new networking group, the Business Speed Networking Group.  The purpose of the Business Speed Networking Group is to foster B2B and B2C relationships between business owners, entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, startups, non-profits, and anyone interested in networking with business owners.  As with all networking groups, the purpose is to help the other attendees by sharing ideas and experiences, to make meaningful relations, and to increase the buzz for your company.

This group is not intended to help jobseekers or to provide a place where businesses sell.  There is a big difference between selling and networking.  Selling is all about “what you need”, networking is all about “what the other person needs”.

We will use the same modified speed networking format that is used with the popular BNC IT Group.  The table rotation plan is preset which is why NO WALK-INS are allowed and attendees must pre-register.  When people arrive, they are given a name tag with their table rotation plan on it.  Then they go to their 1st table assignment.  Once the official program begins, we rotate tables every 20 minutes (exception, for 1st table, where the rotation takes place after 30 minutes).

Out first event is August 27th, starting at 5:30pm.  Registration will open at 5pm so participants can arrive early.  That will give you time to network with people you may not be sitting with at one of the table rotations before the official program begins.

Once the official program begins at 5:30pm, we will follow a predetermined format. The first 30 minutes will be used for eating the salad & meat course and networking.  (Note: Desert is served at the second table.)  The next 90 minutes is used for speed networking (switching tables every 20 minutes) and closing notes.
