Now is an excellent time to be an entrepreneur. According to data from the Kauffman Foundation, more Americans became entrepreneurs over the past two years than at any other time in the past 15 years. Yet, launching a business and growing it into a successful enterprise entails many challenges. For instance, finding a good opportunity, developing an idea, gaining access to resources, and finding nontraditional sources of valuable support are just some of the basic ones.
Join the Young Professionals of Chicago, DePaul University’s Management Development Center, and the Coleman Entrepreneurship Center to discuss and learn more about entrepreneurship in Chicago. A distinguished panel of professors and entrepreneurs will discuss unique ways to be a successful entrepreneur based on their experiences with many different entrepreneurs in Chicago. Topics will include Chicago's climate for entrepreneurship, resources for entrepreneurs, and finding funding in tough environments.
