It goes without saying that businesses need employees who project confidence, clarity, and professional presence. Unfortunately, many intellectually and technically talented individuals have little training in basic presentation skills. This short seminar introduces the fundamentals of speaking well to entrepreneurs, upper level executives, managers, new hires, and others who need to know effective strategies for communicating information.
Participants will leave the talk with increased awareness in
* Non-verbal body language
* Critical listening
* Audience analysis
* Structuring a clear message
* Awareness of physical and vocal qualities
* Providing constructive feedback
* Avoiding and overcoming nervousness
* Thinking on your feet
Our speaker, Dr. Daniel Moser, consults in the art and science of communications for professionals in financial, business, engineering, medical, design, and advanced technical fields. He holds a doctorate in Performance Studies from the School of Communication, Northwestern University where he serves as Senior Lecturer in the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science with additional appointments in both The Program in Leadership and Organizational Behavior and the Department of Communication Studies.
