The start up world is exploding in and around Chicago. Technology start ups are numerous, as are all other types of product and service related start up efforts. Angel and venture funding has never been more prevelant. Do you have an idea? Have you already started work on a start up? Thinking about joining a start up?
If so, the best way to: learn your next steps, best practices or to get your questions answered is by talking with those who have gone before you. Jeff Weber, serial entrepreneur and author of From Idea to Exit: The Entrepreneurial Journey, will be your speaker to discuss the start up world. Relating his experience and showing how you can leverage that knowledge.
Weber is an active mentor and advisor to entrepreneurs. As part of Silicon Valley's Founder Institute, Weber mentors a fresh class of entrepreneurs twice a year through an aggressive accelerator program. Weber has: bootstrapped, been an investor, pitched for funding, competed in and judged start up competitions and is very active in the Chicago start up scene.

They’ll answer questions about pitching, making connections, their social media strategies, the platforms best suited for their missions, what produced the best buzz, and attracted new members.
